📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Ingenuity Staffing is currently recruiting for a General Ledger Accountant position with a nationally recognized agency in foster care, adoption, and youth services. In this role, you'll join a team committed to maintaining accurate financial records and upholding industry standards while contributing to the agency's mission of providing essential care and support to children and families across the nation.
Responsibilities:As a General Ledger Accountant, you will:Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments with proper documentation.Conduct monthly account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.Assist in compliance reporting for state and local agencies.Allocate expenses to programs and grants as needed.Support in annual financial audit preparation.Handle cost reimbursement program invoices on a monthly basis.Manage inventory items and fixed assets in accounting software.Prepare program financials and assist in grant management.Collaborate with the Controller and Leadership team as necessary.Uphold a positive image of the organization at all times.
Requirements:3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.Proficiency in Cash Management, A/P, A/R, and G/L.Experience with month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.Familiarity with Financial Edge accounting software and advanced Excel functions is a plus.Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.Clearances from the Department of Justice (Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index) required.Compliance with Community Care Licensing hiring standards.
Compensation: Up to $30/hr.
