Pay based in experience !!
The Assembler is responsible for assembling all pumps with excellent workmanship and efficiency. This is a first shift position with hours from 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday. Join us in making Alsip, IL an outstanding place to work where both our team and our company thrive!
Use manual dexterity to assemble small components.Perform operations and adjust testing equipment to maintain excellent efficiency and flow of work.Perform work such as fitting parts to close tolerances, adjusting for working and proper operation.Performs to Standard Work Instructions.Participates in ‘5 Whys’ problem-solving exercises.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Embrace IR Business Systems tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements. Be aware and awake to company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Experience/Education/Skill Requirements
Two years of assembly experience preferred, but strong mechanical aptitude may also be acceptable.High School Diploma or GED equivalentGood understanding of assembly operation.Capable of reading and following standard work.Must be capable of using special measuring equipment effectively.Capable of working from blueprints, drawings, charts, specifications, and/or verbal instructions.Capable of performing work such as fitting parts to close tolerances.Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well with others.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent past work record (performance, attendance and attitude)Soldering experience, a plus.Ability to speak and read English.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.Ability to walk and stand for long periods of timeWorks within a manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals
