Mechanical Assembler in St. Peter's, MO
First Shift: 6:30 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday
Starting Pay: $20+/hr.
Our Ingersoll Rand/Nash Service Center in St. Peters, MO is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team! The material handler works under limited supervision, responsible to perform a variety of duties efficiently with high quality results.
Position Summary
The Assembler is required to assemble, disassemble, mount and modify exhausters and blowers.
Essential Functions
Assemble blowers and exhausters according to blueprints;Work with the Engineering Department and the Quality Assurance Department to troubleshoot and solve problems;Apply standard work practices;Follow all safety rules, environmental regulating procedures and utilize required safety equipment when appropriate;Adhere to 6s (5s) principles, clean, organize, and properly store all equipment;Operate Crane and Fork Truck to move equipment and parts (training and certification provided by the company);Operate machinery and hand tools as necessary.
Qualificatons
Experience Required
Blue print and ruler knowledge;Excellent hands on experience with basic hand tools;Excellent mechanical skills and small parts assembly proficiency;Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally;
Experience Preferred
Blower, Compressor, Exhauster experience preferred;Ability to use micrometers and other measuring instruments is preferred;Overhead crane, lift truck, machining or welding experience is a plus.Automotive experience can be helpful.
Education/Training
Position requires high school diploma or trade school graduate with one-year experience in the production or distribution field.
