"A" Electrician - 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday) (Starting pay $33.72/hour)

Innophos, Inc., a leading international producer of specialty ingredient solutions, is seeking to hire an "A" Electrician to work 3rd shift, for our Nashville facility.

Key Responsibilities

Attends daily meeting to receive and discuss daily work orders and safety topicsPerforms all task under general supervisionAssumes high level ownership during off-shift work periods related to work prioritization, production needs, and safety requirementsTroubleshoot, inspect, adjust, and repair automated machines, process systems, and robotic systems to ensure they are working properly and safelyPerforms preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yieldPerforms equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance)Assists engineers in operating test equipment to obtain performance data on parts and assemblies under varying operating conditionsCollects, compiles and summarizes test data, and reviews results with engineering to resolve problems such as product or equipment issues, malfunctions and incomplete test dataDiagnoses test equipment malfunctions, and services and repairs equipment as requiredDiagnose malfunctions and analyze results using testing devices, then repair and replace broken machine componentsTroubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain combustion systems. Responsible for continuing education to keep up with changing technologyConfigure, commission, and test new equipment while making sure all maintenance and installations are well-documented, working properly, and operating safelyDocument repairs for regulatory purposesPerform bench work in repairing and maintaining production equipment and spare part assemblies. Oversee maintenance and service work as assignedTake inventory and maintain spare partsAssist with keeping neat and orderly records on work performedWork with Engineering, Production, and coworkers to accomplish the desired resultAbility to work overtime as requiredPerform work assignments efficiently while being consistent with good safety practices. Assist in procedure/equipment upgrades as necessaryReport any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisorReview, understand, and follow all Company specifications and procedures, and regulatory rules and requirements that are associated with the performance of this jobOther duties as assigned by the department ManagerWork may include 480 Vac, 3 phase electrical systems, starters, and equipment, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, robots, electro-pneumatic/hydraulic equipment, lighting, refrigeration, controls and instrumentationReads and interprets electrical drawings, such as electrical equipment schematic, electrical wiring diagram, one line diagram, and instrument loop drawingsWorking knowledge of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70e, OSHA, Arc-Flash Hazards)

Shift & Wages

3rd shift (10:30 pm-6:30 am) Monday - FridayInitially assigned to 1st shift for training for 6 monthsAlternative work schedules may be required based on site business needsWages start at $33.72 / hour and may progress to higher job classifications based on qualifications, in accord with the labor contract.Eligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8/day and 40/weekBi-weekly paid on Friday’s

Required Education And Experience

5 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician

OR

2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician and completion of an Associate degree/certificate in Electrical/Electronics Technology or other satisfactory trade or military training

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Must have a basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting. Some knowledge of combustion and/or hydraulic systems may be required.Must have a basic knowledge and experience in relay logic, industrial controls, electronics, and PLCsMust have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and engineering drawingsMust have a basic ability to use a computer to communicate with machine control systems and PLCs. Must have a basic ability to diagnose the root cause of a problem, make repairs, and test for proper operationAbility to use various measuring devices (multi-meter, oscilloscope, megohmmeter, etc.) Excellent attendance requiredMust possess good organizational and communication skillsTeam oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervisionMay be required to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.) Be mechanically inclined.Must be able to distinguish colors used in color-coding wires and electronic components. Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledgeMust be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this jobMust be able to diagnose problems and work alone or as a team memberMust be able to read and follow safety rules and instructionsMust be able to use and maintain shop tools and equipment and PPEMust be able to write reports, work orders, memos, safety concerns and incidents as well as electronic entry of data and procedures using proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar
