Job Description

This role is for a subject matter expert in product design, reference data and overall wireless pricing solutions. You will be responsible for:Demonstrating an understanding of all the nuances of reference data design & modelling: including network provisioning, frontend user experience, pricing domain, order processing, order management, billing functions.Building designs and solutions that account for all aspects of inclusion, exclusion and product management functions.Collaborating closely with marketing teams to understand the business requirements, understand the network provisioning, order flow, and billing impacts of the business requirements.Creating the appropriate design and approach for any changes to the reference data.Design and development of pricing and reference data systems for VCG and VBG wireless systems.Managing technology changes to the pricing systems.Serving as a point of contact for the design and development of large business initiated projects that span multiple applications within CXP and interface with SOE, SOR and SOI platforms.Working within a Center of quality for reference data and will be the primary point of contact for all pricing programs and will drive the governance and strategy for the same.Leading the cross train and build expertise on all aspects of product design across the team.

You’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work experience.Experience in pricing design and conditioning including network provisioning, frontend user knowledge of pricing reference data, order processing, order management, billing functions.Even better if you have one or more of the following:A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology management.Experience in implementing large scale, available applications and pricing conditioning.Knowledge of Data Architecture and Object Oriented Methodologies with development experience as a Technical Architect providing proven solutions.Experience in technology leadership, including knowledge of architecture, and full stack implementation.Experience in No SQL technologies, DevOps tools, SQL and DB2,Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW),Common Pricing Module (CPI) Experience in AWS cloud, EKS and Kubernetes.Knowledge of Open Source technologies, WebServices, Middleware, Source Code Management (GIT, Stash) and Cloud Platforms and use this information to set the technical direction for scalability and reduce cost of ownership.Experience in project management and implementing large scale, available Java applications using Microservices.Expertise in driving IT transformation.Experience in handling large production applications and experience with performance tuning.Experience in working and interacting with business, Offshore teams and executives.Experience in designing, delivering and managing service level agreements and performance metrics.Experience in wireless / telecom industry with a focus on large scale transformation programs.Experience in supporting mission critical production systems, lead real-time high stake risk mitigation plan and drive timely decisions.Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
