Human Resources Generalist

Our client, an established retail company, is recruiting for an HR Generalist opportunity at their headquarters based in North Charlotte.

If you have HR experience and love doing all-things-HR in a small business environment, then this role could be a great fit for you.

You will be passionate in leading recruiting efforts, in partnering with ownership to support talent retention, onboarding, and organizational development, as well as maintaining and creating HR processes and procedures to ensure team communication in a multi-location establishment.

Office hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. You will be working onsite 5 days a week for at least the first 60-90 days until you get established, but you will have the opportunity for a hybrid arrangement after (1 day a week offsite).

Responsibilities Manage the recruitment process; take a lead role in recruitment support for all open positionsDrive onboarding programWork with owner on ways to ensure retention of talent and run engagement surveys as neededAssist managers with employee relations itemsPerformance: administer evaluations, manage performance improvement plans where requiredSupport in health insurance renewal/negotiation processManage customer services that are received at the retail locations; use these surveys to help evaluate effectiveness of team members

Requirements Minimum 2+ years experience in Human Resources workKnowledge of HR processes, policies and procedures with a detail-oriented skillsetExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage employee relations issuesExperience in multi-store retail preferredDemonstrated experience in working with incentivized comp programs is helpful

Comp: 75-85K annual salary, based on experience, plus benefits (small company with large company benefits)
