OverviewThe Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the Company’s Finance Team leadership and working across a range of key financial areas. These work areas include revenue recognition, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), invoicing, general ledger management and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant position will be a valuable member of the Innovu Finance team, must possess real attention to detail and be able to successfully interact with Innovu’s Finance team and other Innovu employees of various levels.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Revenue Analyst in software revenue recognition, contract accounting and customer invoicing and related reconciliations.Support the Accounting Manager in handling AP accounting and disbursements to Company vendors. Perform AR follow up and related customer communications to ensure timely collections from customers.Participate and contribute to the monthly financial closing process as directed by the Accounting Manager, including completing account analysis and summary reporting.Support the Finance Team’s reporting responsibilities by generating a range of financial reports and dashboards in the areas of cash collections forecasting, cash spend forecasting and cost center budget reports.Assist the Revenue Analysts and Accounting Manager in maintaining and updating various financial software systems including our general ledger, revenue management system, sales commission system, etc.Complete special accounting analyses and projects as requested.

Minimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.Detailed orientation and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to support Innovu’s growth and the Finance Team’s evolving needs.Outstanding Excel and spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables and vlookup / hlookup formulas.Strong sense of customer service to address Finance’s internal customers’ needs consistently and effectivelyDemonstrated aptitude for learning new software applications.Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
