📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Location: Charlotte, NC, 28217 - 3 days onsiteDuration: Contract until EOY (2024) - potential for extension or conversionTitle: Sr Cloud Solutions Architect Description: Produce architecture blueprints that guide the development and implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and product roadmaps. The Cloud Solutions Architect provides their expertise in the development and maintenance of architecture standards and solutions that align with strategic goals and partner with product managers, business analysts, designers, and software engineers to navigate solution decisions. Responsibilities: Responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to customers.Define operational procedures and practicesAccelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirementsIdentify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures.Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the knowledge base, blogs, and brown bag lunches.Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable to the broader install base; mentor and coach the internal team through internal training sessions.Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for platform enhancements Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of enterprise cloud solutions, deploying and running solutions in a cloud environment, and private, public, and hybrid cloudsExtensive experience with Internet technologies and protocols like TCP/IP, VPN, SSL and HTTPHands-on experience with public and private cloud services as well as load balancers and networking devicesExperience designing high availability and disaster recovery / fail-over infrastructuresKnowledge of Open Source architectures and/or past contributions to open source projectsDesign, development and operations experience with highly-available, scalable, and fault tolerant systemsExperience with agile/scrum methodologies Experience securing the cloudExperience setting up the network connectivity to the cloudNeeds to understand the differences of all the work load offeredNeeds to understand the difference in cost between different instancesAbility to setup/teach resiliency and redundancyCan create dashboards and visualize where the money is going and is it being spent correctly
