📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Remote4 month contract with highly likely extensionsRate: 45-55hr
Must Have: 3+ years DBA experience such as but not limited to experience with backup and recovery and performance tuning 3+ years DB2 LUW/Linux experienceLinux command-line and shell scripting experienceWilling to support occasional off-hour (primarily evenings/weekends) deployments and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation approximately every 6 weeks, potentially more in the beginning as they ramp up. Team rotations - Consultants will not work more than 40hrs per week so you will flex days as necessary.

Job Description: Our client is the leading health solutions company with 5000+ retail locations, pharmacy benefit management, and digital health hubs. This resource will be joining a smaller DBA team supporting one of the businesses healthcare insurance affiliates and will be responsible for DB2 database administration/support, backup/recovery/performance tuning, responding to monitoring and alerts, deployments, and Linux command line and shell scripting.
- Servers – Install, configure and maintain Database System software to support the needs of the business in providing excellent service to customers and partners.2. Database instances – assist in the design, creation and assume responsibility for maintaining and monitoring databases in the environment. Monitors capacity and performance of databases to ensure they are highly reliable, efficient, cost effective, and provide the required functionality.3. Data – facilitate the access to the data for approved users.4. Provide adequate safeguards for compliance, security and integrity.5. Working closely with agile teams to support their needs - Native database functions.
