📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Position: Environmental Project ManagerLocation: Oakland, CA 94612 (Hybrid)Salary: 68k-105k (dependent on years of experience)Notes: 15-20% travel out to the field
Candidate Requirements:· BA/BS degree or higher preferred in environmental sciences or physical sciences· Minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of federal, state and local hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and occupational health and safety regulations· Proficient technical writer in preparation of technical reports (phase I, phase II, remedial design, site remediations, field sampling, health and safety plans, etc.)· Survey experience (AHERA, renovation/demolition, emergency response/recovery)· Experience preparing proposal and developing scope of work
Pluses:· 40 hour HAZWOPER· 30 hour OSHA
Day to Day:The ideal candidate will:· Work with federal, state, and local government on planned and emergency response projects nationwide· Support investigation and remediation for CERLA and/or RCRA sites· Prepare, implement, and oversee cost estimates, progress reports, staffing and invoicing· Manage multiple projects dealing with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc)· Perform phase I and phase II ESAs· Prepare various sized technical reports (phase I and phase II, remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality)· Plan project elements such as review, analyze, integrate, interface and coordinate federal, state, local, and regional contingency and emergency response plans, and protocols· Supervise staff, provide expert guidance, recommendations, protocols, technologies, equipment, materials, and personnel for implementing projects· Responsible for the compliance of health and safety protocols for projects and work sites- this includes but not limited to human health risk and exposure assessments, ecological mitigation measures and risk assessments, and the ability to implement and perform mitigation measures and services· Determine federal, state and local environmental laws and statues for projects·Manage a heavy workload with multiple project teams
