📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Insight Global is searching for a Financial Couselor for one of our largest healthcare clients in the Southeast. This individual will servce as the primary point of contact between patients and internal staff in providing estimates for medical services based on their health insurance benefit's plans. This individual will also be responsible for providing this information to patients and their families over the phone so that they can make informed decisions about their healthcare. They will be required to perform prior authorizations and precertifications for procedures through insurance payer website, as well as becoming proficient in the Epic EMR system, utilizing both the fee estimation tool as well as documentation tools.
This person will work onsite in Mt. Pleasant, 5 days a week from 8:30 AM -- 5:00 PM.
- Strong Past Insurance Experience -1-2+ years of Medical Insurance Experience (Prior Auth, Precertification, Insurance Verification, Explanation of Benefits)-Extensive experience completing prior authorizations and/or precertifications for complex procedures-Knowledge of Copayments, deductibles, and deposits-High Level of Professionalism and Business Acumen
$17.00/hr to $21.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
