📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician for a contract position.
Responsibilities
Pre-Pack: Maintains and cleans the room as per guidelines, prepares Sterile Compounding under supervision, and is knowledgeable about Long-Term Care and Alere high-risk pregnancy medications.Stages prepares, and fills orders for residents at long-term care facilities.Assists with data entry, refill orders, maintaining pumps, filing, answering phones, and stocking areas in the IV department. Works with the Lead IV Technician in maintaining a clean/safe work environment.Responsible for the replenishment and maintenance of Emergency Drug Kits provided to Long Term Care Facilities, communicating concerns regarding operations, and handling shipping and tracking of Alere packages. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Order Entry: Interprets and inputs orders into a computerized medication order system, performs audits, and makes necessary corrections. Also performs calculations including basic mathematical calculations.Handles claim issues, maintains current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes, and may produce reports to keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.Provides excellent customer service in accordance with company values, assists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, and performs other tasks as assigned, which can include assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management
