Protein Expression Scientist

Our large Pharmaceutical client is seeking a Protein Expression Scientist to join their growing Biologics Discovery Group in Spring House, PA. They are looking for a highly motivated protein expression scientist to join a team committed to the bold objective of changing the future of medicine. Collaborating with their team of dynamic and innovative scientists in Biologics Discovery, you will be responsible for advancing the most cutting-edge biologics medicines to the clinic. In this role, you will leverage a variety of robotic platforms and protein purification technologies along with the highest quality and rigor to invent and deliver innovative therapeutic candidates. Other responsibilities include:Hands-on lab research for purification and characterization of antibodies or other proteins expressed from a variety of sources.Design, execute and interpret experiments with manager's approval.Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks in a timely manner and prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, etc.

Qualification: B.S, M.S or Ph.D in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics or related field1-5 years of work experience in protein purification (Affinity purification, IEX purification, Size exclusion purification).Experience with protein expression using CHO / HEK293 cell lines and protein characterizationExperience with mammalian cell culturesPrior Downstream or Biologic Drug Manufacturing experience

Salary: $70,000-$100,000Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pmHiring Method: Multiyear contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another yearPTO: 10 PTO days & 6 paid sick days annuallyBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans available

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
