📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Qualifications: A.A.S in Engineering 5+ years of experience in substation design – 3+ years spent in protection and controls. Pluses:Experience designing for 69kV to 500kV substations.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related) Day-to-Day: Insight Global's engineering client is looking for a Remote Protection and Controls Substation Designer. The candidate will be working with a team to complete P&C substation design projects while adhering to client specifications, standards, and practices. They will be responsible for creating detailed designs for one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials. Doing calculations, specifications, reports, plans, and drawings. Assist teams with project execution, work processes, and procedures to ensure good quality and productivity.
