Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the accounting department to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies. Responsibilities: Ensure full accuracy of the financial ledgers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, with full ownership and the lead on the monthly book close process.Primary lead for all internal audit requirements to the extent these relate to finance and accounting.Responsible for cash management, including performing wire transfers, ACH payments, daily cash report, and bank reconciliations.Prepare State Sales & Use Taxes: quarterly; semi-annually; or annually where applicable.Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements.Prepare monthly bank covenant package.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalentThorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.5 years+ relevant accounting experienceStrong leadership, management, and organizational skillsWell-developed interpersonal and communication, written and verbal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with QuickBooks a plusFocus Area- Month end close, general ledger, and financial statements.
