Driving Examiner
The International Drivers Academy (IDA) is seeking a qualified Driving Examiner to assess the driving abilities of individuals applying for driver's licenses. The Driving Examiner will conduct practical driving tests, evaluate applicants' driving skills, and ensure adherence to road safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct practical driving tests for individuals applying for driver's licenses.Evaluate applicants' driving skills, including their ability to follow traffic laws, maneuver the vehicle safely, and respond to various driving scenarios.Administer written examinations to assess applicants' knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and driving regulations.Provide constructive feedback to applicants regarding their driving performance and areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with state driving regulations and testing procedures.Maintain accurate records of testing results and applicant information.Collaborate with colleagues to maintain testing equipment and facilities.Stay updated on changes to driving laws and regulations to ensure accurate assessment of applicants.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Certified Driving Examiner in accordance with Washington State Department of Licensing requirements.Minimum of two years of experience as a Driving Examiner or equivalent role preferred.Excellent knowledge of Washington State traffic laws, road signs, and driving regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.Attention to detail and ability to assess driving performance accurately.Proficiency in computer skills for record-keeping purposes.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.Commitment to promoting safe driving practices and ensuring road safety for all motorists.
