How you’ll make an impact at Intertek:

Perform a variety of testing, project specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervisionOperate testing equipment, conduct testing, and provide assessment of data through reportingWork utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagramsUse specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasksRead and interpret plans, specifications, and test standardsMaintain and calibrate testing equipmentCommunicate effectively with client and project teamsMust be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

What it takes to be successful in this role

1+ year related experience is required, soil testing experience preferredACI concrete strength is requiredICC reinforced concrete certification is preferredValid driver’s license and reliable driving record is requiredGood report writing skillsMust have basic math, calculator, and computer skillsAbility to work off shift and overtime as neededAbility to commute to remote locations

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in soundAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperaturesAbility to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
