Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is searching for a Project Engineer to join our Building & Construction team in Morgan Hill, CA

Intertek-PSI is a leading US based provider of assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting solutions in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. How you’ll make an impact at Intertek:

Performs a variety of assignments that include independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications to these standardsPrepares and reviews Engineering reports, project plans and specifications prepared by othersAssigns work /tasks to staffPrepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignmentsPrepares proposals to provide professional servicesReviews recommendations with Principal ConsultantMaintains and leverages client relationships and develops new project opportunitiesAttends client site meetingsCommunicates effectively with client and project teamsWorks on one or multiple projects at a timeTrains Technicians and other Technical staffMay perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific testsMay work both in the field and laboratory regularlyMust be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

What it takes to be successful in this role

Bachelor's of Science Degree from accredited Engineering/ABET school is preferredDegree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is desiredRegistered with the State of California as a Professional Engineer is required3+ years' experience is requiredValid Driver's License and reliable driving record is requiredEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are requiredAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperaturesAbility to lift, move, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally
