📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a senior snowflake architect with extensive experience with data migration projects, preferably with large-scale government projects.
Compensation:Rate is open (all rates commensurate with experience are welcome)
Location:Sacramento, CA (Hybrid)
Visa Status:Green Card Holders and US Citizens(Independent Consultants C2C/1099)H1B visa holders (Open to C2C candidates)
Qualifications15+ years of overall technology experience as data engineer/data developer/data architect7+ years of data architecture experience, with a focus on Snowflake.Strong knowledge of Snowflake concepts and hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, design, and implementationExperience in data migration projects from SQL Server to SnowflakeExperience with government projects preferred
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and operate highly reliable large-scale data lake/data warehouse systemsEmbrace Snowflake innovations with open-source standards and toolsetsSet technical directions and influence cross-functional teamsDesign, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects of supporting the Snowflake cloud data platform. Including cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditingImplement/support automation for production deployment in SnowflakeImplement Snowflake standards and methodologies for DB security at both infrastructure and app levelImplement/support automation for administering Snowflake Accounts/Databases and access rolesImplement data sharing /replication cross-cloud/cross-region for internal/external clientsCreate a Snowflake utilization and capacity planPropose and implement DB / Snowflake query performance optimizations.Identify system(s) bottlenecks and recommend solutionsDesign/Implement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI data
