R&D Process Engineer Intern - Summer 2024

ION is searching for a college-level intern with a Chemical/Process engineering background to support the R&D efforts of data validation and process modeling. Position SummaryThe R&D Chemical Engineer Intern will provide input to and perform activities related to the R&D trajectory of development, such as design, assessment, and data analysis of new process methods for ION proprietary technology solutions related to CO2 capture. This position provides quality, safety, and innovation in support of the commercialization path of products.

Summer Projects & Opportunities· Design process model simulations for R&D pilot facilities; assess solvent performance, energy optimization, column temperature profiles, etc.· Develop meta-data analysis of previous R&D campaign(s) to synthesize KPI’s and holistic results for future papers and presentations· Assist R&D efforts for new innovative technology demonstrations and lab-scale builds· Contribute to technical drafts of ION research and campaign results for conferences, based on ION internal reports· Present project accomplishments to the internal ION team CompensationCompensation will be $30.00 per hour, less payroll deductions and required taxes and withholdings, and will be paid bi-monthly on the 15th and the last day of the month. .Working ConditionsThis position is completely in office. The work environment and physical demand characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
