📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Reports to: Lead Payroll AssociateFLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position SummaryThe position will be responsible for processing in-house payroll for 1200+ union and non-union employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for reviewing accuracy of employee data, including, but not limited to new hires, pay rate changes, benefit deductions, union fringes, title changes, address changes, work location changes and employee separationsEnsuring timesheet processes are observed and timecards are submitted and approved in accordance with payroll processing timelineCommunicating with internal ISEC network pertaining to accuracy and timeliness of time submissionsTimely and accurate processing of multi-state, in-house payroll, including off-cycles and same day terminationsHandling all deadlines with urgency, including expedited holiday deadlines based on bank & ISEC holiday schedulesMaintaining appropriate records and documentation to support all payroll and reporting activitiesResponding to and processing support orders, garnishments, liens, and leviesUtilizing payroll and timesheet audit tools and responding to audit requests in a timely mannerEnsuring compliance with Certified payroll processes and reportingReconciling union remittances and ensuring compliance with union bargaining agreementsAdhering to strict confidentiality practices to safeguard employee personal, protected informationEnsuring compliance with multi state taxes and federal tax requirementsMonitoring the payroll inbox and providing prompt response and resolution to questions and concernsProviding proactive customer service and timely communicationDayforce / Pacific Timesheets

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Experience working with union and non-union payrollsExperience working in a multi-state payroll environmentUnderstanding of general payroll principles and compliance solutionsExperience working with Certified PayrollExperience working in multiple systems at the same timeAbility to process multiple payrolls with varying pay frequencies and pay groups
Minimum Qualifications Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma0-3 years payroll experiencePractical knowledge of federal, state, labor, and compensation requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities FPC or CPP certification preferredExperience with DayforceStrong time management skillsStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsComputer proficiencies in Office, Outlook, and ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsWorks well independently and in a team environment Customer Service Skills:Demonstrates commitment to deliver outstanding service – both with internal and external customers Takes ownership to personally resolve customer problems (or find someone who can) Listens well, asks clarifying questions, and checks for agreement with customers Committed to following-up with customers in all instances in a timely manner Strong sense of accountability - ensures that you will do what you say that you are going to do Creates a personal connection with customers – smiles, warm greetings, acts friendly and respectfulPositive attitude
