Accounting Controller -Korean Bilingual

Position Overview

The Accounting Controller will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, coordinate the preparation of financial reports, and ensure the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and reporting.

Responsibilities

Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures.Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual financial report, including the annual audit.Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Develop and manage financial systems and budgets.Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary.Review and approve all Form 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (if applicable).Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a corporate setting.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to direct and supervise.Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.Proficient in financial management software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bilingual in Korean and English required
