POSITION : DESIGN ENGINEER / STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – PEMB DURATION : FULL-TIMELOCATION : (REMOTE)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is hiring an experienced metal building engineer that is looking to become an integral part of a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:• Structural design of steel buildings applying established engineering practices, model building codes, and company standards• Design, seal, and certify projects large and small, including hangars, schools, gymnasiums, retail centers, churches, sports arenas, and manufacturing facilities throughout the United States • Work in a team environment with estimating, sales, and drafting to define, clarify, and process projects to meet customers’ needs on individual projects• Review project plans, specifications and building code requirements• Provide solutions to problems during fabrication and construction • Assist sales, project managers, architects, and builders to determine project requirements and proper utilization of systems to meet customer needs• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design Qualifications
- B. S. Degree (Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering)• 5+ years of experience in low rise metal building design• P. E. / E.I.T Registration• Proficiency with AISC, AISI, ASCE 7, and model building codes• Experience with MBS, RISA, & Microsoft office• Ability to convey design information, using written and verbal communications skills
