Estimator

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for estimating the costs of commercial and industrial construction projects. This individual will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities & Typical Duties:Identify new bidding opportunities and attend pre-bid meetings.Prepare estimates using the best possible procedures and technology to ensure maximum efficiency & productivity. Review project documents, ensuring compliance with requirements.Deliver proposals and follow up with clients.Outreach to inactive and potential clients.Attend meetings, site visits, and pre-proposal meetings.Participate in turnover meetings with the operations team.Conduct cost analysis and change in scope take-offs.Support operations throughout the project life cycle.Participate in post-job review meetings, analyzing actual versus estimated costs.Requirements:Detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate.Quick reaction time and effective communication skills.Ability to handle stress and make sound decisions.Customer and employee satisfaction focus.Deadline-driven with problem-solving skills.Work effectively with limited supervision.Strong knowledge of Windows and related computer systems.Ability to read, understand, and apply specification requirements.Proactive in recognizing needs, developing solutions, and implementing them.
