📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
iWorld Professionals is seeking a driven Cost Accountant to join our client based in Rochester NY. This is an onsite position. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Finance, and IT departments to develop and execute strategic plans aligning with the company's objectives.
Cost Accountant Responsibilities:Conduct cost accounting analyses, comparing estimated costs to actual costs, and spearheading cost reduction initiatives to meet manufacturing targets.Define business requirements to be implemented in the company's ERP and ensure functionality is tailored to the company's industry-specific needs.Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide ongoing support to maximize user adoption and system efficiency.Generate standard and custom reports to provide valuable insights into business performance.Collaborate with department leaders to develop personalized reports and support troubleshooting for analytics and reporting.Perform periodic gap analysis and reconcile inventory details to the general ledger.Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators.Implement processes to validate production data accuracy before closing work orders.Conduct physical inventory audit reconciliation and perform additional duties as assigned.
Cost Accountant Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or IT.Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, with an understanding of manufacturing processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems .Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time to meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to work on-site in Rochester NY.
