Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as a New Product Introduction Dyno Engineer. As a New Product Introduction Dyno Engineer, you will be responsible for daily tasks related to testing and analyzing new products, managing projects, and ensuring the successful development of new products. This role is located in Jasper, IN.
Key Responsibilities include:- Work with New Product Engineers to perform a durability test and FMEA analysis on engines- Re-wire CAN communications systems, using the existing Control Modules for proper durability testing- Wire engine for Motec system- Diagnose electrical issues using OEM and aftermarket scan tools, scopes & Multimeters- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on dyno- Provide technical support and training to internal departments including Production, Quality, Customer Service & Purchasing - Reverse Engineer engine, actuator, sensor testing methods for production dyno- Provide periodic project updates, and must be open to additional training/application opportunities - Programming/Tuning on OEM and Stand Alone Motec systems Key Qualifications include:- Must be organized, detailed- Must have the ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly- Must be proficient with OEM and Aftermarket scan tools- Must be proficient in understanding CAN communication networks - Must be proficient with wiring and creating custom harnesses- Must be able to independently manage projects - Must be able to accomplish assigned tasks within allocated time frame - Previous transmission / engine / automotive background required- Previous engine calibration knowledge
