Director, Global Events

As the Director of Global Events at Jazwares, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating memorable and impactful events that showcase our brand, products, and values to audiences around the world. Reporting to the VP of Global Events, you will be responsible for leading a team with conceptualizing, planning, and executing a diverse portfolio of events, ranging from trade shows and product launches to consumer activations and community engagement initiatives.

What you will do

Develop and execute a comprehensive global events strategy aligned with the company's marketing objectives and brand positioning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify event opportunities, themes, and objectives that resonate with target audiences.Lead the planning and logistics of an assigned portfolio of events, including budget management, venue selection, vendor negotiation, and timeline coordination.Drive the creative vision for each event, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, messaging, and storytelling.Work closely with the Brand, Marketing, Creative Services, and Product Development teams to develop compelling event concepts, themes, and activations that captivate attendees and leave a lasting impression.Build and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executives, product teams, and regional marketing leads, to ensure alignment and support for event initiatives.Cultivate strategic partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and sponsors to enhance event experiences and maximize reach and impact.Oversee end-to-end execution of events, from pre-event planning and logistics to on-site management and post-event follow-up.Lead a team of event coordinator(s) and support staff, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to ensure flawless execution and delivery of exceptional attendee experiences.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of events, such as attendance, engagement, lead generation, and ROI.Analyze post-event data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization, leveraging insights to refine future event strategies and executions.Performs additional duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

Associates degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, business administration or another related field7-10 years of experience in event management with a proven track record of planning and executing large-scale, high-impact events on a global scale3-5 years of leadership and people management experienceStrong portfolio of event management Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Google G-SuiteStrong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into creative event concepts and experiencesExcellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organizationCreative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand buildingAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, business administration or another related field Experience in consumer product goods or the toy industryExperience in a global company

Working Conditions

The salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - 130,000.00 /Yr. Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for annual performance incentives may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.
