📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Title: Harvest Floor Supervisor
Location: Omaha
Reporting To: Harvest Floor General Foreman
Essential Job Functions
Monitor slaughter area by evaluating product and administering corrective proceduresMaintain acceptable yield levels on all products on all carcassesPerform daily safety walks correcting any non-compliance issues and audits product and employee safety throughout shiftEnsure all safety regulations, food safety policies and collective bargaining agreement are understood and enforced, working closely with Quality AssuranceRecord employee daily attendance and verify time cards to ensure correct pay for hours workedRectify attendance issues by coordinating personnel to fill vacant or absent positions and follow any disciplinary procedures with hourly employeesAttend supervisor meetings each morningContribute to the ongoing development of JBS Omaha’s policy and proceduresAll other duties as assigned by General Foreman or SuperintendentDemonstrate the use of JBS Values
Experience Required
Minimum 1-2 years’ production experiencePast leadership experience preferred but not requiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship and work collaborativelyProven written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, and leadership qualitiesMust be able to work in conditions of extreme heatMust be able to work flexible hours and some Saturday workGeneral computer skillsKnowledge of meat processing and subsequent job specificationsWillingness to travel at least 25% of the time
