Job Summary: In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the implementation of our Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system and overhaul our Cost Accounting Department. This project-based position, reporting to the Controller, is pivotal in attaining our strategic objectives: market expansion, brand leadership, and enhancing financial and operational efficiency. An in-depth understanding of the manufacturing process and its financial aspects, including production, inventory control, compliance, and distribution, is crucial.
100% Onsite in Doral, FL (NO REMOTE OR HYBRID EXCEPTIONS)
Duties/Responsibilities:Lead the MRP system implementation, ensuring flawless integration with existing frameworks, particularly Microsoft Dynamics for inventory and distribution management.Execute a comprehensive analysis and optimization of the Cost Accounting Department, with a focus on creating effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Collaborate with the Cost Accounting Manager to refine analytical capabilities, emphasizing data analysis and automation of manual tasks.Upgrade financial reporting systems, incorporating tools like Power BI for data management, and utilizing Raven software for direct data capture from machinery.Ensure precise data capture and reporting across departments, fostering improved communication and processesGuide the transition from average to standard costing, adeptly handling variance analysisIntegrate AI and other advanced solutions to streamline cost accounting operationsLead professional development for the cost accounting team, focusing on industry best practices and new technology adoptionAct as a crucial figure in risk management, particularly in cost and supply chain aspectsManage production workflow and cost analysis, encompassing purchase order management, forecasting, inventory control, and waste trackingStrategically analyze and optimize cost structures to support company scalabilityLead and manage a team of cost analysts across multiple states/regionsProficient in working with Cost of Goods Sold (COGs) within an ERP system
Required Skills/Abilities:Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing, CPG, marketing, and distribution environmentsDemonstrated expertise in MRP system implementations and departmental evaluationsExceptional analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software and financial modelingStrategic mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across various departmentsExcellent communication skills, effectively bridging finance and other departmentsDemonstrate advanced technical abilities in understanding financial ledgersProven experience in scaling companies, contributing to their growth into the billionsProven experience as a senior cost analyst, with a track record of leading and mentoring multistate or regional teams
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field8+ years of experience in cost accounting and operations management
