Equity Research Associate/Senior Associate - Biotechnology

Job Description

We are seeking an equity research associate to support senior biotechnology analyst covering mid- and small-cap companies out of our New York office.

Responsibilities will include

Conducting proprietary research evaluating drug pipelines by analyzing scientific literature, attending medical conferences, and speaking with key opinion leadersBuilding and maintaining financial modelsWriting research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of data, and industry/company newsConceiving and executing on differentiated project ideasInterfacing with company management teams, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors

Key qualifications

Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD/MD), with excellent academic track-record required. History of scientific publications a plusProficiency in written/verbal communication1+ years’ experience in biopharmaceuticals equity researchExperience building financial models using excel a required on-the-job skill; prior experience is a plusMotivated, hard-working, team player

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000-$165,000..

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
