📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Provide quality, patient-focused care and treatment of Nephrology patients in a collaborative role with sub-specialist physicians in Nephrology. Assess, diagnose, and manage systems-related complications of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) therapy including anemia, hypertension, bone disease, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, and vascular access. Diagnose and manage episodic health problems of clients with ESRD. Responsibilities include traveling to outpatient dialysis units.
Qualifications
Masters’ Degree in Nursing with emphasis on Adult Health and Nephrology preferred. Successful completion of an approved Nurse practitioner Program and current licensure in Pennsylvania as a nurse practitioner is required. Acute care certification required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in adult care setting and clinical experience in the care and treatment of patients with renal disease and/or transplants required. BLS ACLS
Conditions of Employment
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
