Architectural Design: Assist in and recommend architectural design and planning of AWS infrastructure, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and industry best practices.Implementation and Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of AWS infrastructure, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and others to create reliable and scalable systems.Automation and Orchestration: Drive automation initiatives using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and other scripting languages to streamline provisioning and management of AWS resources.Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and efficiency, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential bottlenecks.Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and applications hosted on AWS.Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of AWS environments.Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting best practices, procedures, and guidelines.Stay Current with AWS Technologies: Stay abreast of the latest AWS technologies and trends, evaluating their applicability to enhance the organization's infrastructure.Multiple Environment Integrations: Design and implement technology solutions in AWS that also integrate into other cloud environments such as Azure or GCP.Operating Systems: Experience with Linux Operating systems such as Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Windows operating systems such as Windows 10, 11, Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 are a huge plus.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESNoneQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in IT, a related field, or equivalent experience.Must have at least 4 - 6 years of related experience in Information Technology.Must have at least 3 - 4 years of experience in AWS.Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, networking, security, and storage. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell or Bash.Experience supporting major infrastructure migration initiatives is preferred. Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience are helpful, but not required.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AWS Certifications in Operations, Networking, and Security at the associate or above level are a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
