The JLG Connected Solutions Team Apprentice is responsible for assisting the team with developing software and hardware solutions, as well as testing these solutions on real machines. This position utilizes creative thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot challenges, and places Apprentices in a team-focused environment that encourages collaboration. This apprenticeship offers an amazing opportunity for high school students with a future in computer science or electronics to gain invaluable experience and insight into what a career at JLG looks like.

Duties/Responsibilities

Apply and develop existing programing skills. Improve the existing data management process. Assist team members in daily tasks to improve the overall performance of the team. Work with electrical and cloud-based systems. Perform other related duties as assigned. Report out on the status and progress toward established goals.

Required Skills/Abilities

Capacity to learn new software packages and processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks. Confident navigating and editing Excel spreadsheets. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a professional office environment as part of a results-oriented team.

Education and Experience

Current enrollment and good academic standing in high school. Basic programming experience recommended. Basic electrical wiring harness experience recommended. Interested in working on and around computers.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel to various job sites to obtain necessary data.
