We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented and seasoned Permanent Controller for our manufacturing firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding our financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to make a significant impact within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory. Prepare and submit timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop cost standards for materials and labor. Design, implement, and maintain systems and procedures that are efficient, effective, and meet the needs of the organization. Provide financial leadership to the management team and work closely with plant leadership team to identify inefficiencies. Supervise, review, and approve AP invoices. Develop and evaluate price models. Maintain inventory records and manage accounting staff. Supervise sales reporting and perform account reconciliations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience. Proven working experience as a Controller in the manufacturing industry. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with creating financial statements. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work with large amounts of data, to interpret financial records, to detect and correct errors. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
