We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Controls Technician to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining industrial control systems to ensure our manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, and reliable. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in automation and robotics. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the development and implementation of complex control systems and will have the opportunity to work on projects that are integral to the company's success.
Responsibilities
Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and associated equipment. Develop and implement PLC programming for new and existing equipment. Interpret and produce technical schematics and drawings. Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement automation systems. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and repair control systems and associated equipment. Ensure all control systems are in compliance with industry safety standards. Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed. Monitor the performance of control systems and make adjustments as necessary to maximize efficiency. Participate in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Technician or similar role. A Master Electrician certification or equivalent. Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming. Advanced knowledge of industrial control systems and automation. Experience with robotics is a plus. Proficient in reading and producing technical schematics and drawings. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex control systems. Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
