Responsibilities
As an EHR Data Quality Coordinator, your duties will include but are not limited to
Overseeing and managing the integrity of electronic health records data to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Conducting regular data audits and analysis to identify and rectify any data quality issues. Developing and implementing data quality improvement strategies and processes. Providing training and guidance to staff on data entry best practices and EHR system usage to prevent data quality issues. Running regular reports on data quality metrics and presenting findings to senior management. Collaborating with IT and other relevant departments to improve the functionality and efficiency of the EHR system. Staying abreast of latest industry trends and regulatory requirements related to EHR and data quality. Assisting in the development of policies and procedures related to EHR data entry and management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the EHR Data Quality Coordinator role will have
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data quality or data management role, preferably within the finance industry. Proven experience in data entry, training, and running reports. Strong knowledge of electronic health records systems and data quality principles. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective training and guidance to staff. Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software. A Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Finance, IT, or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will be an added advantage.
