We are currently seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Lead Operator to join our vibrant team in the Manufacturing industry. This position will offer you an opportunity to play a critical role in the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. As a Lead Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the setup and operation of various machines, ensuring the efficient flow of production, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is perfect for an individual who has a keen eye for detail, a passion for leading teams, and a strong background in machine setup and material setup.
Responsibilities
Oversee the setup and operation of various machines in the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to production schedule and quality standards. Coordinate with the production team to ensure material setup is done correctly and efficiently for smooth production flow. Lead, guide, and train employees under your supervision on best practices in machine operation and safety protocols. Monitor and maintain machinery, performing regular checks and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and procedures, fostering a culture of safety within the team. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process and take prompt corrective action. Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, material usage, and machine downtime. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions for process and product improvements.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry. Proven experience in machine setup and material setup is a must. Strong technical acumen, with the ability to quickly learn and understand new machinery. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and guiding teams to achieve production goals. High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality. Outstanding problem-solving skills, with a knack for troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and instructions. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing environment. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a relevant field or professional certification will be considered a plus.
