Job Details
Overview Able to operate various types and sizes of hand or power brakes, bending and forming sheet metal parts.
Scope of Responsibilities
Ability to operate various types of machines Sizing, planisher and power brakes. Operates power brake to form various types of flat metal stock such as banding, making joggles, and angle bends. May finish-form partially formed punch press, hydro press, and drop hammer parts. Recognizes improper functioning of press and reports condition to supervisors. Assist other operators as needed. Performs rework, repair and other associated operations described. Ability to troubleshoot.
Education / Experience
High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 1+ years of related experience and/ or training Other Abilities Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Tools used Hand tools, measuring instruments and templates. Materials used Lubricants, Ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their alloys in the form of flat and shaped parts.
