We are seeking experienced, motivated, and reliable Telecommunication Construction - General Laborers to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position and provides an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading company in the Construction industry, where you will play a critical role in the construction and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure.
Responsibilities
As a Telecommunication Construction - General Laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to
Operating a variety of heavy machinery such as horizontal drilling machines, propelled plows, and mini excavators. Locating underground utilities using advanced underground locators. Installation of telecommunications infrastructure including placing hand holes, pulling fiber, and installing pedestals. Digging holes with shovels and other manual tools. Assisting in the installation of fiber optic cables, ensuring the safety and integrity of the infrastructure. Adhering to safety standards and procedures at all times. Performing regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation. Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Providing regular updates and reports to supervisors regarding project progress and any potential issues encountered.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Telecommunication Construction - General Laborer position will have the following qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunication construction or a related field. Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as horizontal drilling machines, propelled plows, and mini excavators. Experience with underground locators and the installation of telecommunications infrastructure. Proficiency in fiber optic cable installation. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including digging holes with shovels and heavy lifting. Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
