Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Auditor at John Deere Financial (JDF) in Johnston, IA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for performing specialty audits and advisory reviews. Responsibilities will include audit planning, execution, and delivering insightful feedback to management that highlights process gaps, control deficiencies and areas for improvement. This role will work closely with leadership and the Risk Management team to help JDF accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. In addition, you will:

Plan and scope specialty audits and advisory reviews in collaboration with management and the audit team; identify key risks and associated controls as part of the walkthrough and testing processConduct testing and identify areas for improvement and ensuring deliverables are completed according to the established schedule and required standardsPreparation and formulation of recommendations designed to improve controls and/or methods of operationBuild detailed knowledge of processes and systems across the organizationAct as a champion for internal control and risk concepts throughout the organizationUndertake other ad hoc, project and investigation work as required

What Skills You Need

5 or more years of total experience in accounting, finance, audit, risk, or complianceStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and develop effective audit strategies and process improvementsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of managementStrong organizational and project-management skillsResults-oriented - ability to motivate and influence diverse teams

What Makes You Stand Out

3 or more years of internal audit experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant professional designationMaster's Degree in business, accounting, or related disciplineFamiliarity with data analytics, visualization and/or dashboard tools, and AI toolsDirect experience in the financial services industry

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or related field
