Company Description: John Rocchio Corporation is a General Contractor completing public agency bridge, highway and utility construction primarily in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to join our team. As an EH&S Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our workers and maintaining compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. Primary responsibilities will include:· Develop, deliver, and maintain all required OSHA written management processes per local, state, and federal regulations.· Conduct and coordinate safety processes and training to enhance environmental awareness, safety awareness, emergency response.· Conduct safety orientations for new employees.· Oversee the USDOT CDL and non-CDL driver qualification requirements.· Audit work sites for safety hazards and ensure adherence to OSHA guidelines.· Assess project and company safety practices and potential exposures. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate risks and drive changes to improve project and company safety awareness and actions.· Stay current with industry regulations and develop training plans to keep workforce compliance up to date.· Investigate and document incidents and accidents. · Work with project leadership to design solutions for risk elimination / risk reduction.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or 5 years related construction safety experience.Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.Completed OSHA 30-hour training.
