What You Will Do

The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will facilitate cross-functional teams to achieve breakthrough best-in-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.

How You Will Do It

You will be an experienced, key change agent with a deep understanding of Lean fundamentals, methodologies, and tools, as well as Continuous Improvement principlesYou will drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives as well as driving cultural and behavioral changes that support a Lean transformation journey which enable our organization to achieve sustainable successYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, develop and implement action plans, and monitor progress towards achieving resultsConduct regular Gemba walks and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and identify waste reduction opportunities on the shop floorFoster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing strategies that drive ongoing process improvement and innovationAnalyze and evaluate business processes to find opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagementFacilitate the development of Hoshin Planning processes and aligning improvement activities with company goalsDefine, design, and implement process improvement as part of the Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS), and ensure its integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across organizationAssist with developing and implementing Lean strategies and initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across all areas of the organizationAssist with developing and implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause AnalysisCollaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives with overall business strategy

Required

What we look for

Engineering Degree and 1 years of applicable lean/manufacturing experience Possesses basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.Has a solid grasp of manufacturing principles, including Process, Information, and Material flow.Has a solid understanding of lean principles, including Waste elimination, Pull systems, Kanban, Visual workspace, One piece flow, Flow Production, Set-up reduction, Standardized work, Variation reduction, Error proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, Design for Manufacturing, Ergonomics Possesses basic computer skills
