JMT's Hunt Valley, MD office is seeking a technician to be responsible for preparing plans in MicroStation from provided engineering sketches and details for projects.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Transfer engineering sketches and details to plans using MicroStationPerform basic mathematical computationsMake quality control corrections to contract drawingsPrepare exhibits for reports, public meetings, or presentations
Nonessential Functions And Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalentTechnical school training or Community College courses in computer-aided draftingKnowledge of drafting standards and procedures
Qualifications Preferred
5-10 years of relevant experience in CADDProficiency in MicroStationAssociates degree from a Community College in CADDExperience working on Bridge and Civil Engineering projectsAbility to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environmentStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skillsExperience working on MDOT (MDSHA, MDTA, etc.) projects
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment most of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
