Position summary: Responsible for collection of field surveying data, and operation of specific survey instruments for the field crew. U.S. Residency Required.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Sets up, adjusts, and operates surveying equipment including electronic total station, data collector, and GPS equipment, in order to measure distances, elevations and anglesPerform boundary, topography, ATLA, right of way, and construction surveysResponsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, including electronic data collectors, levels, electronic total station, GPS, and survey vehiclesRecord accurate and clear field notesDocument assignmentsCollect data using survey equipmentPerform calculations
Nonessential Functions And Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Skills in mathematics and coordinate geometry
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalentFamiliarity with total stations, data collectors and GPS

Working Conditions
Work is performed in the field 95% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Work is performed within a general office environment 5% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
