Position summary: Responsible for preparing plans from the provided engineering sketches and details for projects. U.S. Residency Required.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Transfer engineering sketches and details to plans utilizing OpenBridge Modeler and/or OpenRoads Designer, MicroStationMakes basic engineering computations and prepares and revises specifications.Make quality control corrections to contract drawings
Nonessential Functions And Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and Technical school training with courses in computer-aided draftingProficient in MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler and/or OpenRoads DesignerKnowledge of design and drafting proceduresThe ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Experience
Associates degree in Drafting or Engineering or other relevant educationTechnical school training with courses in computer-aided draftingExperience with NCDOT guidelines, procedures and plan production is a plusCandidates must be self-motivated, learn rapidly, be able to take direction, and possess a strong desire to excel professionally
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
