Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional recruiting firm that is currently seeking a Customs Entry Specialist to support a key client within the logistics/supply chain industry in the greater Charleston, SC area.
Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing all import documents, verify compliance and determine proper classification for Customs. Notify Importer if additional information is required, then determine appropriate entry type and process entries electronically. Contact customers if any additional information is needed to determine classification or make entry to US Customs. Update customer profile with specific information in regard to HSTUS numbers, US Customs information and contacts. Maintain good working relationship with US Customs, port authorities, other brokers and customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. CargoWise is highly preferredMust have Freight Forwarding experience; ideally 3 yearsHigh competency working in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Strong organizational skills, capable of handling a high volume of email requests to action timely. Good written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
