2nd Shift Finished Goods Line Team Leader - Line 1

Watertown Facility

Position Overview

The 2nd Shift Team Leader will provide support and direction to Members of the work team on the manufacturing line. They will serve as a “change agent” and will be expected to lead, motivate, and engage the team to achieve the team’s goals, improve individual skills, and enhance teamwork. Their role is to ensure compliance with safety, and quality requirements. They function as a technical and business resource in areas of operations. They will work on continuous improvements in performance measures by leading actions for assigned duties. They must establish and sustain effective relationships with all Members in order to foster an environment where innovation, cooperation and ownership are used to solve problems.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Effectively lead the assigned Production Line team in the areas of safety, quality, and costBe a safety champion and address issues with safety immediatelyEvaluate and coordinate training needs and efforts of production team members required for the current production processes, including quality and safety training Evaluate daily staffing needs of the line against the production schedule to maintain budgeted resources and to maximize line outputCoach and monitor the performance and development of team members, providing feedback and documenting results through performance appraisals and progressive disciplineLead daily team meetings Complete daily performance reports and shift paperworkEffectively communicate information to members and coachesLead process improvement initiatives on the lineAbility to spend time on other shifts for training when required

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

Two years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to hand grip up to 50 lbs, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs Walking and/or Standing throughout the shiftBending and/or Reaching throughout the shiftWillingness to work in cold conditions

Hours: 2nd Shift; 1:00pm – 11:00pm (Overtime required)
