2nd shift Material Handler (Shipping Department)

Watertown, WI

Position Overview

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and attendance requirements. In addition, this candidate will establish and sustain effective relationships with all Members so that they may work together to promote innovation and cooperation in order to solve problems.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Driving PIV standing forklifts to move materials within the facility. This includes spending a significant time in the freezer rotating product for storage and shipmentUsing handheld scanning devices to move materials within the SAP systemConsistently handle “great tasting” sausage and raw material goodsHave an impact on customer success by productively assembling customer orders and keeping order pickers supplied with necessary product Maintaining the highest standards of detail as it relates to product specifications and qualityActively participate in daily meetings and project teamsWork as a team by helping fellow team members who may need helpCommunicate with other departments regarding schedule changesPull spice and stage for the next day’s runCommunicating and working with truck drivers for delivery and pickup of goods

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

Experience working in a shipping/warehouse environment utilizing PIVsAbility to obtain forklift certification and maintain a good safety recordSAP experience preferred but not required

Physical Demands

Must be willing to work in very cold working conditions pulling product (our freezer gets as cold as -20°F)Must be able to lift and hand grip up to 40 lbs, carry 10 lbs, and pull 20 lbsWalking and/or Standing throughout the shiftBending and/or Reaching throughout the shift

Member Status: Full Time, Hourly

Starting Hourly Rate: $24.79 per hour plus an additional shift premium

Hours: 2nd Shift; 2:00 pm - 10:30pm (Overtime as production demands)
