Job Description
Union Shuttle Driver
Tailored Brands is North America’s leading specialty retailer of menswear, famous for world-class customer service and unique offerings like tailoring and custom suits. We are best known by our brands, including Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, K&G Fashion Superstore, and Moores Clothing for Men in Canada.
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM
(Hours will fluctuate dictated by business needs and must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when necessary)
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the movement and delivery of merchandise and products between our Hampstead distribution locations in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
Operational Duties
Ensure timely deliveries between the DC’s and the various departments. Unload, process and reload merchandise and freight Pack and ship merchandise as required
Safety
Perform driving function within the parameters set forth by the Transportation Safety Department Ensure that work areas are clean. Report all injuries to up-line management on a timely basis.
Transportation Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years driving work-related experience preferred (job training will be provided) Valid driver’s license (Class A or Class B CDL is preferred but not required) Able to pass a Company road test Able to pass a DOT physical, including drug screening. Good driving record: No more than 2 moving violations in past 24 months or 3 moving violations in past 36 months No DUI’s, DWI, or license suspension in last 10 years No more than 1 preventable (DOT recordable) accident in past 12 months Ability to work in all areas of the HUB’s distribution center and perform any necessary job duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Able to sit and remain alert while driving for a period of at least 10 hours Drive 26 ft. automatic transmission box trucks with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW Squat or crouch to handle or position freight Enter and exit vehicle cab minimum of 8-10 times per day. Entry and exit will be achieved with the assistance of various steps, footholds, and handholds. This requires additional bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, crouching, and balancing Push and/or pull 500 or more pounds on a dolly cart or manual pallet jack Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds without the aid of mechanical equipment at a minimal distance of 12 feet Frequently reach for freight at waist level, above the shoulder, or below the waist, with required movement to left or right Must work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment All staff employees are expected to be available to work in all areas of production as required
