Job Overview

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join our Project Controls team in Syracuse, New York.

Responsibilities & Duties

Cost Analyst services include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and monitor project metrics, develop dashboards and reportsAssist with project/program monitoring and budget status communication to project stakeholders.Track and examine the project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecastsPerform the analysis, review, and forecast, on project cost performance, including the status of committed costs against approved budgetsAttend project meetings and provide input related to project costs, commitments, and forecasts, as requiredWork with scheduling staff to develop, manage, revise, and update integrated detailed project schedules including all phases of project executionDevelop and implement the Change Control and Management Process/ProceduresVerifying the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to the project budget.Producing required accounting and project cost reports. Producing reports on deviations under-runs and over-runs.Preparing forecasts and cost trend reports. Reviewing and evaluating trends and their impact on project costs.Monitoring project costs and commitment to budget and forecast.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or Equivalent Education with 2 years relevant experience required Knowledge of utilities, gas, or engineering preferred5+ years in project controls scheduling or cost controlsAbility to prioritize competing demands for your time in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects preferred
